Sometimes the fight is so intense and lasts so long that when it’s over it’s almost as if you have to step into a new identity. You’ve spent so much time powering through the onslaught, being strong and functioning in survival or fight or flight that when it seems that you’ve finally won or have attained peace, you’re not really sure what to do with yourself.
But let me assure you that rebuilding can be an amazing journey and process. And take heart, you’re not starting over (I don’t know about you but I HATE the thought of having to start over and all that I’ve worked on seemingly becoming null and void), you’re starting with some understanding, a blueprint, a new aim and focus. Nothing has been lost or wasted. Let me say that again, you’ve lost nothing. So welcome to a new journey.
It may be a new road and trail, but you’ve got a roadmap to lead you. Your instincts and discernment are stronger. You’re more aware of the strength, stamina and resilience you hold within. And think of it this way: a person has reached millionaire status. But they come into financial struggle and have to shut down or sell in order to not go completely under. Later, he has to start over. But does he have to learn the principles all over again on how to attain wealth? No. His knowledge and wisdom on reaching clientele and establishing himself in the industry hasn’t and can’t be taken away. He’s just got to change the strategy and now put the pedal to the medal. And maybe, he just needs to acquire a little additional help rather than attempting to do it all on his own with the sweat of his own brow this time. He’s got the skill and the knowledge. And if he can muster up the confidence to get back in there, he’ll find himself back at the top. Maybe even sooner this time.
You’re a better version of yourself now. Maybe a tad bit scarred with some knicks and bruises. But you can withstand the tests and you’ll come out much better.
Keep moving forward.
